Day 1 – Saturday

Depart for South Africa

Board your flight to Johannesburg, the gateway to Southern Africa. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure filled with dramatic landscapes, wildlife, and cultural discoveries.

Day 2 – Sunday

Arrive in Johannesburg

Touch down in Johannesburg, often called the “City of Gold.” Take a short transfer to your airport hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening as you acclimate to the new time zone.

Day 3 – Monday

Windhoek & Sossusvlei in Namibia

Fly to Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, known for its fascinating mix of modern city life and traditional culture. Journey into the Namib Desert, one of the oldest and most spectacular deserts on Earth.

Stop at Neuras Wine Estate for a guided tour of the vineyards, learning about wine production and enjoying a tasting of award-winning wines. Continue south to Sossusvlei, where towering red sand dunes and surreal desert landscapes await. Attend an orientation with your Tour Manager, then enjoy dinner at the lodge.

Note: Depending on flight timing, the winery visit may take place on Day 4.

Day 4 – Tuesday

Sossusvlei & Deadvlei Exploration

Wake before dawn to witness the first light illuminating Dune 45. Optional climb to the summit of Big Daddy dune for panoramic desert views. Explore Deadvlei, a clay pan dotted with ancient dead trees, creating an ethereal, otherworldly landscape.

Return to your lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure, soaking in the desert tranquility.

Day 5 – Wednesday

Journey to Swakopmund via Kuiseb Canyon & Walvis Bay

Travel through Kuiseb Canyon, a striking desert gorge, and enjoy a packed lunch en route to Swakopmund, Namibia’s adventure capital. Stop at Walvis Bay along the Atlantic coast, known for its lagoons and birdlife.

Swakopmund’s colonial architecture, seaside promenade, and vibrant adventure activities offer a perfect introduction to coastal Namibia. Dinner at a local restaurant completes the day.

Day 6 – Thursday

The Living Desert Adventure & Optional Mondesa Township Tour

Explore the Living Desert on a 4×4 excursion across barren dunes, home to fascinating desert creatures such as geckos, chameleons, sand-diving lizards, and scorpions. Knowledgeable guides will explain the desert’s unique ecology, flora, and minerals.

Afternoon at leisure in Swakopmund or join the optional Mondesa Township Tour, experiencing local Namibian life firsthand. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 – Friday

Himba Tribe Visit & Damaraland

Drive to Damaraland, stopping to meet the Himba people, semi-nomadic pastoralists famous for their ochre-glazed skin, jewelry, and unique goat-skin attire. Learn about their history, traditions, and daily life.

Arrive at your lodge in Damaraland, enjoy free time, and dinner at the lodge.

Day 8 – Saturday

Otjimboyo Concession & Desert Elephant Viewing

Embark on a scenic drive through the untouched wilderness of Otjimboyo Concession toward Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain. Explore the dry Ugab Riverbed, enjoy a light picnic lunch beneath majestic camelthorn trees, and watch for desert elephants, which roam the arid riverbeds.

Spend the evening at leisure before dinner at the lodge.

Day 9 – Sunday

Twyfelfontein Petroglyphs, Petrified Forest & Etosha National Park

Visit Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ancient rock engravings of elephants, rhinos, giraffes, and more. Explore the Damara Living Museum to understand the culture of one of Namibia’s oldest communities.

Continue to the Petrified Forest, home to fossilized tree trunks 300 million years old. Travel onward to Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s premier wildlife sanctuaries. Enjoy an afternoon drive observing animals at perennial waterholes.

Day 10 – Monday

Western Etosha National Park Safari

Full-day safari exploring Etosha’s vast salt pans and waterholes. Look for lions, cheetahs, springbok, gemsbok, and the rare black-faced impala. Etosha hosts over 114 species of mammals and more than 340 species of birds, making every game drive a wildlife spectacle.

Day 11 – Tuesday

Eastern Etosha National Park Game Viewing

Move to Etosha East, observing wildlife along the way. Spot elephants, rhinos, leopards, lions, and giraffes against scenic landscapes. Stop at a rest camp for lunch (on your own), then continue to your lodge.

Day 12 – Wednesday

Cheetah Conservation Fund & Windhoek

Travel to Ojiwarongo for a visit to the Cheetah Conservation Fund, learning about conservation efforts and the biology of cheetahs. Continue to Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, and enjoy a farewell dinner with your Tour Manager, reflecting on your journey.

Day 13 – Thursday

Depart Namibia

Fly to Johannesburg, connecting to your international flight. Please select flights departing no earlier than 7 PM.
