Day 2 – Monday

Arrive in Edinburgh – Welcome to Scotland

Welcome to Edinburgh, Scotland’s magnificent capital city, famous for its dramatic skyline, medieval Old Town, and elegant Georgian architecture.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You may wish to begin exploring this historic city, stroll along charming streets, or relax at a traditional Scottish café.

In the evening, meet your Tour Manager and fellow travelers during an orientation meeting at approximately 6:00 PM, followed by a welcome dinner.

Day 3 – Tuesday

Edinburgh City Tour & Holyrood Palace

This morning, discover the rich history and royal heritage of Edinburgh during a guided city tour.

Travel through the city’s historic districts and see many of its famous landmarks, including:

  • National Museum of Scotland

  • The historic Royal Mile

  • Georgian New Town

  • Princes Street

The highlight of the day is a visit to Holyrood Palace, the official Scottish residence of His Majesty the King.

This magnificent Baroque palace has played a key role in centuries of royal history and political intrigue. During your visit, explore:

Day 4 – Wednesday

St Andrews • Whisky Distillery Experience • Highland Sheepdog Demonstration

Depart Edinburgh and travel north to the historic town of St Andrews, world-famous as the “Home of Golf” and home to the prestigious University of St Andrews, where Prince William studied.

After exploring the town, continue to a traditional Scotch whisky distillery. Learn about the centuries-old art of whisky production and enjoy a tasting of Scotland’s most famous spirit.

Next, experience authentic Highland life with a visit to a working sheep farm. Watch an incredible demonstration by skilled shepherds and their highly trained sheepdogs as they guide sheep across the fields using whistle commands.

Today’s exploration begins at the historic Culloden Moor Battlefield, near Inverness.

This was the site of the final battle of the Jacobite Rising in 1746, which dramatically changed the course of Scottish history. Visit the modern visitor center to learn about the events leading up to the battle and its lasting impact.

Continue to Cawdor Castle, a historic fortress famously linked to Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Explore the beautifully preserved rooms and gardens.
