DAY 2 – Tuesday: Arrive in Venice

DAY 3 – Wednesday: Murano & Venice Walking Tour

DAY 4 – Thursday: Tuscany Countryside, Pisa & Florence

DAY 6 – Saturday: Assisi Medieval Town Tour en route to Rome

Journey to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis, for a guided walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the 13th-century Basilica di San Francesco, containing sacred relics and Giotto’s frescoes. Continue to Rome, the Eternal City, for overnight.

DAY 7 – Sunday: Ancient Rome Highlights

Explore Rome’s ancient past at the Roman Forum, viewing the Arch of Constantine. Visit the exterior of the Colosseum, the Empire’s largest amphitheater, which once hosted gladiatorial games and public events. The afternoon is free for independent exploration.

DAY 8 – Monday: Grand Piazzas of Rome & Vatican Museums

Experience Rome’s iconic piazzas, including the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Then, visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo’s legendary frescoes. Walk through St. Peter’s Square, past Bernini’s colonnade, to view St. Peter’s Basilica. Evening at leisure to dine in one of Rome’s many trattorias.

DAY 9 – Tuesday: Full-Day Pompeii Excursion

Travel along the scenic Sun Route to Pompeii, preserved under volcanic ash for nearly 2,000 years. Explore its original streets, temples, forum, and tragic human casts. Along the way, see the Abbey of Montecassino (weather permitting) and the Bay of Naples. Lunch on your own in Pompeii before returning to Rome.

DAY 10 – Wednesday: Depart Italy
