At the scheduled time, we meet at Baku City’s Tour Office and begin our journey west toward Sheki — one of Azerbaijan’s most captivating Silk Road cities.
Our first stop is the historic Juma Mosque in Shamakhi, originally dating back to the 8th century. One of the oldest mosques in the Caucasus, it has been rebuilt several times after earthquakes yet remains a powerful symbol of Islamic architecture and resilience.
Take time to admire its elegant structure and peaceful surroundings.
We continue to picturesque Lake Nohur, surrounded by forested hills and fresh mountain air. You’ll have approximately one hour of free time to:

Take photos of the stunning scenery
Relax in this tranquil natural setting
A perfect pause before heading deeper into the Caucasus Mountains.
Arrival in Sheki around mid-afternoon. Here, you’ll taste one of Azerbaijan’s most famous regional dishes: Piti — a slow-cooked lamb and chickpea stew prepared in traditional clay pots.
This authentic culinary experience is included and gives you a true flavor of Sheki’s heritage.
Next, we explore the architectural jewel of the region — the Palace of the Sheki Khans.
Built in the 18th century, this royal summer residence is famous for:

The palace reflects Sheki’s prosperity during the Silk Road era and remains one of Azerbaijan’s most iconic landmarks.
In the evening, we check in at a beautifully preserved 18th-century Caravanserai — once a resting place for Silk Road merchants traveling between East and West.

After breakfast (not included), we depart at 10:00 AM for Kish, a charming village near Sheki.
Here we visit the 12th-century Albanian Church — one of the oldest Christian monuments in the Caucasus. This site reflects the deep multicultural and religious history of Azerbaijan.
You will also visit one of the region’s traditional silk workshops, where Sheki’s centuries-old silk production tradition continues today.
On our way back to Baku, we stop in Gabala, where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch (not included) at a local restaurant.
We continue our comfortable drive back to the capital and arrive at the original meeting point at approximately 8:00 PM.
