The trail provides numerous opportunities for photography as the landscape gradually begins to resemble the famous rock formations of the Petra region.
Continue toward Little Petra, also known as Siq al-Barid.
Upon arrival, explore this fascinating Nabataean archaeological site.
Walk through its narrow canyon and discover rock-cut chambers, ancient facades and historic remains.
Little Petra was an important Nabataean settlement and caravan stop connected to the wider Petra trading network.
After exploring the site, settle into your camping accommodation.
Enjoy a traditional dinner and spend your final night beneath the stars before tomorrow’s spectacular entrance into Petra.

Today is the grand finale of your Dana to Petra Short Track adventure.
After breakfast, begin your trek from Little Petra toward Petra using the back route.
This spectacular trail approaches Petra from the surrounding mountains rather than following the conventional visitor route.
The path crosses dramatic sandstone terrain and provides incredible panoramic views of the Petra region.
Continue toward the magnificent Monastery (Ad Deir).
The enormous rock-cut monument appears dramatically among the mountains and is one of Petra’s most impressive sights.
Take time to admire the architecture and surrounding scenery.
Continue into the wider Petra archaeological area and explore additional Nabataean monuments according to your route and available time.
