Detailed Jordan Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival at Amman Airport | Welcome to Jordan

Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and assisted through the arrival procedures.

After meeting your professional English-speaking driver, you will be transferred comfortably to your hotel in Amman.

Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to relax at the hotel or enjoy a short introduction to Jordan and its rich biblical and historical heritage.

Amman is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and provides an excellent introduction to the history and culture of Jordan.

Day 2 – Amman City Tour | Ajloun | Jerash | Amman

After breakfast, begin your journey with a sightseeing tour of Amman, the capital of Jordan.

Explore the historic Amman Citadel, located on one of the city’s highest hills. The site contains remains from several civilizations, including Roman, Byzantine and Islamic periods.

Continue to the Roman Theater, one of Amman’s most impressive ancient monuments.

You will then travel north toward Ajloun.

Visit Ajloun Castle, a magnificent Islamic fortress built during the 12th century. The castle played an important defensive role in the region and offers beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.

Continue to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities outside Italy.

Enjoy an approximately 1.5-hour private guided tour of Jerash, exploring the impressive Oval Plaza, Cardo Maximus, Temple of Artemis, Roman Theater and other monumental remains.

Jerash provides a fascinating glimpse into life during the Roman and Byzantine periods.

After sightseeing, return to Amman.

Day 3 – Amman | Umm ar-Rasas | Mount Nebo | Madaba

After breakfast, depart Amman and begin your journey south through Jordan’s fascinating biblical landscapes.

Your first stop is Umm ar-Rasas, an important archaeological site and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area contains Roman, Byzantine and early Islamic remains, including remarkable churches decorated with ancient mosaic floors.

Continue to Mount Nebo, one of the most significant biblical locations in Jordan.

According to tradition, Moses stood on Mount Nebo and viewed the Promised Land before his death. From the summit, weather permitting, you can enjoy panoramic views toward the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and the hills beyond.

Continue to Madaba, famous throughout the world for its extraordinary Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics.

Visit St. George’s Church, home to the famous 6th-century Madaba Map, a detailed mosaic representation of the Holy Land and surrounding biblical regions.

Enjoy time in Madaba before checking into your hotel.

Day 4 – Madaba | Bethany Beyond the Jordan | Dead Sea

After breakfast, continue your spiritual journey toward the Jordan Valley.

Visit Bethany Beyond the Jordan, traditionally identified as the place where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.

The site is one of Jordan’s most important Christian pilgrimage destinations and has been recognized for its exceptional religious and historical significance.

Take time to explore the area and reflect upon its biblical importance.

Continue toward the Dead Sea, located at the lowest point on Earth.

Day 5 – Dead Sea | Mukawir | Karak | Petra

After breakfast, depart the Dead Sea and continue south along the historic King’s Highway.

Your first important stop is Mukawir (Machaerus), an impressive hilltop archaeological site overlooking the Dead Sea.

The fortress is traditionally associated with the imprisonment and execution of John the Baptist during the reign of Herod Antipas.

Continue toward Karak, home to the famous Karak Castle.

Explore this remarkable Crusader fortress, whose strategic position made it one of the most important castles in the region during the medieval period.

Continue your journey south toward Petra, Jordan’s legendary Nabataean city.

Day 6 – Petra Private Guided Tour | Petra Overnight

After breakfast, prepare for one of the most unforgettable days of your Jordan journey.

Today you will discover Petra, Jordan’s most famous archaeological treasure and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Enjoy a private guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours with an English-speaking local guide.

Enter Petra through the dramatic Siq, a narrow natural canyon surrounded by towering rock formations.

As you emerge from the Siq, you will experience the breathtaking first view of Al-Khazneh (The Treasury).

Continue deeper into the ancient Nabataean city to discover its impressive tombs, temples, streets, columns and monumental structures carved directly into the rose-colored mountains.

Day 7 – Petra | Little Petra | Wadi Rum | Aqaba

After breakfast, depart Petra and visit Little Petra, also known as Siq al-Barid.

Continue to the spectacular desert landscapes of Wadi Rum.

Known as the “Valley of the Moon,” Wadi Rum is famous for its enormous sandstone mountains, natural arches, vast desert plains and dramatic scenery.

Enjoy a memorable Bedouin experience and discover the traditional lifestyle and hospitality of the desert communities.

The landscapes of Wadi Rum have also served as the setting for numerous famous films and are among the most photogenic locations in Jordan.

After your desert experience, continue to Aqaba, Jordan’s beautiful Red Sea city.

Day 8 – Aqaba | Amman Airport | Departure

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

Depending on your departure flight schedule, you may have some free time in Aqaba to relax or take a short walk around the city.

You will then be transferred by private vehicle toward Queen Alia International Airport in Amman for your international departure flight.
