Welcome to Stockholm, the “Venice of the North,” spread across 14 islands connected by 57 bridges. Transfer to your hotel and settle in. This evening, join your Tour Manager at 6 PM for an orientation meeting, followed by dinner at a local restaurant*.

Experience a traditional Swedish candy-making class at a local confectioner – your sweet creations are yours to take home! The afternoon is free to explore Stockholm’s charming neighborhoods, scenic parks, and world-class museums.

Begin with a visit to the Vasa Museum, housing a meticulously restored 17th-century warship that sank on its maiden voyage. Journey west through Sweden’s scenic lowlands, dotted with lakes and farmland, stopping at Karlskoga Nobel Museum to learn about Alfred Nobel’s remarkable life and inventions. After lunch, continue to Karlstad, nestled along the Klarälven River, for dinner and overnight.

Travel to Lillehammer, home of the 1994 Winter Olympics. Ascend the Olympic Ski Jump (chair lift available, except for May 12 & 19 departures) for panoramic views of Lake Mjøsa and Lillehammer. Visit Maihaugen, one of Northern Europe’s largest open-air museums, to explore Norwegian history firsthand. Finish the day with a beer tasting and dinner at the historic Lillehammer Brewery, established in 1855.
