Travel south along the scenic Sun Route to Pompeii, preserved under volcanic ash from Mt. Vesuvius nearly 2,000 years ago. Walk the original streets, view temples, forums, and the haunting plaster casts of ancient citizens. Along the route, admire the Abbey of Montecassino and the Bay of Naples (weather permitting).
