Your first stop is the enchanting Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis, the goddess of love and magic. Located on Agilkia Island, the temple complex was carefully relocated stone by stone after the construction of the High Dam—an incredible UNESCO rescue project.

Aswan High Dam
Continue to the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering marvel that controls the Nile’s flooding and created Lake Nasser, one of the world’s largest man-made lakes.

Next, visit the Temple of Queen Nefertari, dedicated to Hathor, goddess of love. Remarkably, Queen Nefertari is portrayed at the same height as Ramses II—an exceptional honor in ancient Egypt.

These temples were relocated in the 1960s with UNESCO’s help to save them from flooding, making them both an artistic and engineering masterpiece.
