Itinerary

 Day 1: Van Arrival Day

Meet at the Van Airport and transfer to your hotel. You will be given your room key and the rest of the day is yours to explore Van. Overnight in Van.

Pick up from your hotel and depart to Meher Gate (Stone Gate).

Stone Gate, which belongs to the Urartu King Ispuini period, is one of the important sources that contain information about the Urartu religion. In the inscription on the door, all gods and goddesses blessed in the country of Urartu, daily lists of victims presented to them, and sacred mountains, rivers and cities are reported. There is also a sacrificial altar in the shape of a horizontal rectangle, carved into the rock, just in front of the niche where the inscription is located.

It is called Stone Gate also Meher Gate. Meher is a word meaning “illuminating”. It is called by this name because it is believed that the State of God will come out of it in a beam of light. Then continue to Varagavank (The Seven Churches);Complex consisting of seven separate churches and structures built in the 8th century. After this historical visit keep going on to famous Cumhuriyet Street, Guide gonna give you information about street and lunch break. After Lunch break we will visit to Cat House, Van city’s cats are really famous most of them have different eye colours. You can feed them also care them. After taking photographs continue to Van Castle Mound, Post Urartu, Urartu and Bronze Age building levels were excavated. The mound was used as a cemetery for a long period, during which the construction continued during the Middle Ages. Next to Van Castle Mound we will see Kaya Celebi Mosque; The mosque, the construction of which started in 1660, is one of the important structures of the Ottoman period.
