Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora

Your adventure begins with early morning pickup from your hotel in Marrakech. Travel south toward the majestic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), the highest road pass in North Africa.

Enjoy multiple panoramic stops for photography and breathtaking mountain views. Along the way, your private guide will introduce you to traditional Berber culture, village life, and local customs.

Continue to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most iconic fortified villages. Walk through its ancient clay architecture and learn about its history as a filming location for international movies and series.

Next, pass through Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert and Morocco’s film capital.

Journey deeper south through the Draa Valley, famous for its palm groves and kasbahs, before reaching the peaceful dunes of the Zagora Desert.

Upon arrival, meet your camel caravan and begin a magical camel ride across the desert at sunset. Watch the sky change colors over the dunes before arriving at your traditional Berber camp.

Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under the stars, followed by local music around the campfire.

Day 2: Zagora – Atlas Mountains – Return to Marrakech

Wake up early to witness a stunning Sahara sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at camp, ride your camel back or transfer by 4×4 to meet your driver.

Begin the scenic return journey to Marrakech, crossing the Atlas Mountains once again. Enjoy photo stops and optional visits to local handicraft cooperatives along the way.

Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon with drop-off at your hotel.
